Challenge
Mercury Home Textile is one of the founders of China's modern home textile industry, with production, sales, and channel scale ranking in the top three nationwide. Its down-comforter line had to keep pace with retail-channel demand swings while still hitting the visual quality bar of the Starz Home flagship brand.
Manual quilt distribution was the bottleneck. Operators were sorting and re-bundling finished comforters before packing — a hand-coordinated step that added a full day of lead time to every wave order.
Our solution
CleverMax built an overhead hanger system that carries finished comforters from the quilting line directly to an automated quilt distribution station, then on to overhead storage for retail-channel batching. Each carrier is RFID-tracked, so sort-by-SKU and sort-by-store can run on the same loop without manual re-handling.
Outcome
Tracked across two retail-wave cycles after the integrated sort-and-pack flow went live.
-25%
Labor cost per finished comforter
-45%
Sort-to-pack lead time per wave
+18%
Daily throughput, comforter line
“The integrated sort and overhead storage flow gives our retail team a much clearer picture of every wave order, from line to store.”
